It all started when…

Five Generations of Central Coast Builders

Malcolm John Ifield started apprenticing for his father when he was 15, but even before that he was watching him work all the time. Malcom founded Creative Coastal Homes in 1993 and have been serving the Central Coast area with quality builds for over 26 years. Today Creative Coastal Homes is a family run business with 5th generation builders Max & Zoe on his team.

We offer our extensive knowledge and over 26 years of experience in the construction industry. 

Communication is essential when delivering premium homes to clients. Our lines of communication with the client, architect and contractors are open and transparent and we provide regular site meetings for our clients to discuss progress, timing and expectations.

OUR team

Meet our dream team

Located on the Central Coast, Creative Coastal Homes is a family-run residential and commercial construction business, led by directors Malcolm and Max Ifield.  

Our team consists of dedicated and experienced builders and carpenters who are eager to build your dream project, whether its a new home, renovation, granny flat or even a new hotel. Rest assured, we got you covered. Your build will be done within the timeline and you can look forward to a stress-free building project. 

Our carpenters are all trained by us, then progress to being builders with experience gained on-site and knowledge passed down through generations.

Formal education for employees has been gained through TAFE NSW in “Carpentry and Joinery” and “Building Supervision”

Malcom Ifield, Director

Our director, fourth-generation builder, Malcolm Ifield lives and works at the Central Coast and have 40 years of experience in the building industry. From growing up in Ryde, Malcolm always had a passion for coastal architectural homes. After obtaining his builder licence, Malcolm moved to the Central Coast and founded Creative Coastal Homes. Malcolm is a hands-on traditional builder with great attention to details and precision craftsmanship. His material selection, sourced from only NZ/Australia ensures the highest-quality result on your project.

maX IFIELD, dIRECTOR

Our director Max has always had a passion for building and beautiful coastal homes. Max worked with Malcolm in school holidays from the age of 8. He began his career as an apprentice at age 15 and completed his certificate 3 in carpentry. His passion and drive combined with his attention to details have led him to become the excellent and knowledgeable builder he is today.

zOE IFIELD, BUILDER & DRAFTsperson

Zoe began her career as an apprentice carpenter and part-time draftsperson, whilst completing her certificate 3 in carpentry. In addition to being a great carpenter, Zoe has a great understanding and know-how for designing and is a skilful draftsperson. She learnt her drafting skills from her mum, the famous Central Coast Home Designer, Kath Ifield. At age 20 she is attending night school to gain her certificate in Building and Construction and Diploma of Building and Construction.
